Default want to get an LI but is HP worth it?

i mean it's twice the amount of money --- $700 vs 1400. has anyone got any hard numbers that 2 diodes is significantly better than one?

ok second question: how did a company from croatia define this market? i would have thought that something like this would have come from germany or japan or the US?

It's worth the money if you need that much to protect your vehicle. Do you have a large van, semi or motor home?

99% of all cars will not need the HP's, but yes they are significantly better than the regular heads, which are amazing by themselves (the regular heads).

no it's a 996tt and im going to lower it some and not use a front plate. what about the quad set up--- is it worth it. the speed traps i've seen, the leo's have been on an overpass and have shot down at the roof of the car. thanks

I'm going to say no. The regular LI will be enough to protect the front and rear of your porsche.

You won't need HP heads on a Porsche. The normal heads will protect that car just fine. HP heads are for behemoth SUVs and trucks with those gawd-awful chrome grills.

Do your LEOs shoot the front of your car before you pass them or the rear afterward? If they shoot the rear, you're gonna want a quad w/2 heads in the rear.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

The HP is the only jammer to get JFG consistently at the MOAC. It never failed, not close or far.....

heh, judging by dfwerdoc's username, Id say he is a doctor from Dallas Fort Worth.

Better be careful over there, doc. I think we have a very sharp shooting LEO named Fritter who patrols that area on motorcycle and loves cars with countermeasures

Or, maybe he's in Austin or Houston. I honestly can't remember.

To check the V1 version, hold down the power button (as if muting) for 5 seconds and then turn the unit on -- while continuing to hold the button down.

Once you do this, it will display "P" or something, and you press the button again (maybe twice). Eventually you'll see it scroll:
    3
    .
    8
    7
    2

or something similar. This is, of course, what the newest unit (3.872) would say. With a three year old device, you can expect a lower version number.

You can also type the serial number of your device into VR's website and they will tell you if there are any major hardware changes from your device to current, as well as the price to upgrade.

Software only upgrades are normally around $40.
