    Default Udating LI

    Does the LI have to be hooked to external power while updating...I plug into my computer via the cable and it won't detect the CPU....Even after I downloaded the software that came with the cable.

    All updated on the settings and PA switch installed....I submitted info to have firmware emailed to me but nothing came so I assume there is none yet.

    How do you submit for new firmware? Is it the live update in the communicator?

    Yes...Click on live update. Then it asks for serial # and email to send updates to but there was nothing sent so I assume no updates yet or I have been blacklisted.

    Hrm. I doubt there's new firmware yet since 8.01 was just released. I'd guess to see firmwares available once they start offering something > than 8.01.

    I believe the only version user-updatable is 8.01 and newer... which is Gen 8...

    That is what I have. I have a Quad Gen 8.
    I don't see why there should be an update if Gen 8 was just realeased with a new FW
