So i noticed today that my LI was randomly switching back and forth on the parking assist mode...i checked all connections and everything looks good. I do have the PA/JAM switch, and it is a Gen 8

Sounds like either the switch or the switch connections are not seated properly/connection has poor conduction or the RS-232 is not seated properly or a poor conductor with it. Give me a call at our Technical Support number and I'll be happy to trouble shoot it with you.

How do you recommend to best secure the serial connection to the CPU since there are no screw holes for the serial cable?
Thanks!

My first guess is that either the ground wire or the 12 volt supply wire is not making a good contact to ground/12V. If either one loses contact, however briefly, the result would be as though you just powered the system on and you are back in parking mode for a few seconds.
Double check both connections.
