I wanted to drill some plastic in my car so that the switch may fit in perfectly.
Any idea what size hole I should be drilling so the switch will clip in? I think 1/2" would be too small, not I'm not sure.

3/4 inch or 19mm.
Sorry for the delayed response. Watching the World Cup Final (Futball)

Thanks Cliff for the superfast response as always. No need to apologize, I guess most people are watching the game too.
Yes and Extra Overtime now......
Is that for both the power switch it comes with and the PA/JAM switch?
EDIT: And also, what are the real dimensions of the Gen8 front sensors? I have found 3 different dimensions so far on the internet. My LI should be arriving today and I wanted to start getting everything set up for the install, and I was hoping I could cut the grille before it arrives by making a template the same size as the front head.

I'm sorry. Yes, both!
New 8.7 and 8.8 Sensor Dimensions are: 3-1/8"L x 13/16"W x 9/16"H

Thanks!
The best way to drill a hole for the switch is to use a unibit.
Yes, they can be expensive, but you'll find a million and a half uses for it over time. It's totally invaluable and ensures that you won't mess it up.
Remember, once that hole is too big, there's no going back!
I used one of these, this is the only pic i could find of one of them. I don't know what they're called. Obviously I used the 3/4' one on the left. This is not my picture.
This is the bit I used, did a decent job!
