Well I ve had my LI fitted for over 13,000Ks and 3 months of Highway Driving and finally had my first LEO Laser Hit (Ultralyte 2020) at 5:30am in the morning.
Setup worked well as I was doing 25Ks over the posted speed limit, the issue was my kill switch setup.
I have my LI Power switch setup just under the steering wheel, easy to get to but with no annoying LED.
It works so that when the LI warning goes off I learn forward 5 inches, slow down and switch off Jammer.
Sounds good in practice but the issue was when I got the Laser Hit I leant forward so fast that my seat belt locked and I couldn’t reach the switch so without intentionally doing it I had a JTG. The LI went off all the way passed the speed trap.
I did manage to slow down but pulled a muscle trying to reach the power switch.
Back to the drawing board, now I will have to place the switch in a better location.
