    Default Car Wash

Has anyone taken their LIs through a car wash that uses the rotating brushes? Other than possibly knocking them out of alignment, is there any risk of damage to the actual heads or wires? I could hand wash my truck...however it would be very difficult. The undercarriage also needs cleaning after driving through mud/rain/snow/etc. Unfortunately there's no touch free car washes near me.

+1. Those things are swirl mark machines. The only thing worse is the people in the spray washes who take the big foaming brush to their paint.

The automatic car washes with brushes are impossible to find these days, most places I frequent! Sometimes you really want the mud beaten off of your 4wd, but there's nothing but the wimpy "Touchless" washes around.

So so far we only have one person who has taken them through with no issues? I'm surprised you don't have any where you are SS. That's all we have here!

Makes me cringe just thinking about it. The person before you was some asshat who was "mudding" and needed to clean off his truck...

I like to think of it as cheap wet sanding...

Well they seemed pretty damned sturdy so I took a gamble and went through. No issues at all, they didn't even get knocked off the alignment. Another win for LI, and I guess a good install.
