Shhhh! Don't let that secret out. MasterCard has paid me generously with their free extended warranty over the years.

By the way I just wanted to clear up your poor facts there stealth. Yes you. This is directed at you. First off, "That video was made because someone wouldn't honor their warranty." So yeah there was an issue last time. Lastly I don't know what happened, if the heads dried out, but all is back to normal now. I am wondering though if everything is alright in those heads and if perhaps water didn't get at them through the epoxy? Perhaps a night vision camcorder would do me some good? The false alarming is now gone? Hasn't done it in about 3 months. I'm really wondering if perhaps this isn't a sun reflection related issue because the heads are so flat and not rounded? Maybe like LanGuy stated perhaps there is water in the heads? Whatever the case they boot up fine now, they pass a self test, and no more errors? Weird. Im going to have to check them with a infrared cam to double check and make sure they are fireing though now. That's my only concern. Laser test time. Oh and btw Stealth? Maybe you should get your facts straight before you go assuming, and posting comments about others since you know nothing of the exact details of the situation. Why? I don't consider you a friend. Never have, and never will, so hey it's a free country man, if I don't want to share with you I need not have to Stealth. I'm sorry your angry im not your friend. Hey it's ok. There's others.

PS: After the film was posted I got a rude phone call from Cliff with him cursing at me many times. I don't consider that customer service after 5 email attempts and many call attempts I received nothing but a response in email finally that it must be user error. Which i found absurd, since I have my ham endorsement. I just don't know how to wire, I can read schematics and fix electrical circuitry. I was needless to say quite upset yes that instead of being offered a fix while under warranty I was shuttled off because I don't own a new mazda, or subru. Yup, but after 1 and half months of that film being posted on youtube, I get a random phone call finally from Cliff from Fla, he yells, screams, and even curses at me on the telephone. Yes sir, that's what I call customer service at it's best cursing at customers.

Wow, kinda an old thread huh?
    So much built up anger...

I dont know the history behind your troubles, but youve gone through 2 sets of "bad" LI units.
Rarely does it happen that one person receives 2 faulty sets of electronic devices. Is it something your doing? Water in the heads would be my first guess, if your taking it through some sort of high powered carwash or clean your car with a strong powerwasher...or its a car submarine hybrid?

A car wash wont damage the heads will it? I'm assuming not, but I'm so new to this, I'm still learning.

    Water will damage heads.
Some heads leak, others dont. They are made to withstand water though.
If you are, say, blasting them with a power washer or taking it through some kind of industrial carwash, yeah there is a chance of getting water in the heads. But normal wash and rain shouldnt affect the heads what-so-ever.

Anyone who watched your video would arrive at that same conclusion.

Glad it's working right for you now though.

Unit keeps having heads go bad. Water seal could use upgrade. Especially
for areas where cold weather is a issue. The heat, and cold seem to break down laser
interceptors weather sealing pretty easily over time. I would highly suggest
going to a dept store n doing what I do to all my heads nowadays. Get some
high quality superglue. And put a light dose over the jammers joints where leaks
may become possible. This has extended the life of what used to be a 1-2 yr lifespan
Jammed head to about 7-10. Just be extremely cautious to not get it on your lenses.
let heads cure inside overnight in heat. Then install. You’ll thank me later..
As for the seal points I recommend the seal points near the back of the lense n definitely
where the jammers power cord enters the jamming diode to its rear. I was also cautious
to watch for cracks in plastic near the mounting brackets I filled any of those even if they were
surface only with clear super glue. This has extremely extended the life of my jamming diodes
and only cost me 1$ from my local Walmart.
