Default What to do when your LI is jamming

In NY it's legal to have a laser jammer as far as I know. Should I keep it on when he's hitting me to JTG to get a chuckle at his facial expressions? Or just cut it off after it's safe....

Believe it or not but I don't speed.. I just think this is really fun! When I first got my V1 I would use the arrows to find the sneaky police officer and park right next to him... I got the YouTube videos to prove it! Lol

never jtg. it gives the officer suspicion to pull you over.
although laser jammers themselves are not illegal, impeding the duty of an officer is, and they can get you with that.

Slow down to PSL, turn off LI, then continue on my way:

Slow down asap and turn it off. The majority of the time you slow down enough so you can hear the gun that is being used then turn it off. We don't want it outlawed here.

During our meet coming up I'll show you what to do. I'll have you sit shotgun and Andrew will shoot me.

I would not Jam a trooper to gun. They can still harass you and even hit you with obstruction depeding on their mood (you would most likely win, but who needs to be hasseled). I have had a trooper come out after me and hit me with Ka for 20 miles after I jammed and I shut the jammer off after a few secs.

I have also had a trooper radio ahead. I was hit three times in about a 4 minute period once after jamming in a construction zone. The last trooper had a customer and had went back to his car to hit me with his Ultralyte. I can only assume he was told by one of the previous two to see if he could get a reading. Never know when they will have I/O waiting for you in stead.

If you want to JTG then do some testing with friends.

    Yes.....

They can take it quite serously if they choose to.

Once I got caught speeding with another car in a very rural area (my car was a little unique at the time, color etc). The trooper thought we were racing and had recently given a few tickets to the other driver. He came to the car after talking to the other driver, told me the story that he though we were racing. He said I'll make you a deal - go the speed limit from here to your destination and you will not get a ticket today. I agreed as I thought he could not follw me for 190 miles.

Well, he could not follow but he had a few similar dressed people that can follow me for him. As I was headed south on 87 about 70 miles later, I caught a Mustang that pulled across the grass median after me. That mustang followed me for about 40 miles in the adirondacks. He was about 1 mile behind me and would hit me with I/O every few miles. Eventually he pulled up next to me and gave me a wave before he turned around and headed north on 87 - slowest trip I have ever made on that road.

There was a person on here for a while with a tricked out Subaru from Schenectady who swore the same trooper targeted him almost daily with laser or i/o, because of his one time JTG with blinders.

Always, always, always slow down as quickly as you safely can (don't nose-dive the car) and then kill the jammers as soon as you reach PSL, or some minor amount over. If you're alert, you should be able to slow and kill (aka Jam-To-Kill or JTK) within 2-3 seconds, which shouldn't make the LEO suspicious.

If you have a detector that alerts before the jammer does, start the JTK process immediately, don't wait for the jammer to go off. If you get a lucky scatter shot with a V1 you may be able to kill without jamming at all, or after a very brief jam. The LI does sometimes take a short time to give the audio alert after it starts jamming.

If you want to hear the gun ID, just listen to the beginning of it and then kill. There's no need to listen to "Kustom Pro 3 or Pro-Lite", just kill it during/after "Kustom" since that would always be a Pro 3/Pro Lite. Pretty much all the alerts are unique after the 1st or 2nd word.

If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?
