Default Rear Heads On The Way, How to Install?

Got my rear LI's on the way. Attached are a few pictures of my car.

I am wondering how to install them? I am going for either side of the license plate, as far wide as possible, as demonstrated (poorly) by the black bars in the first photo. Sorry for the crappy job, i'm on my work machine.

The section there is big enough to mount the jammer head, but there is an overhang on the lip that would cause the mount to be uneven if using double sided tape. This can be seen in pictures 2 and 3. Any ideas as to how to overcome this obstacle?

Also, I am guessing i will need to drill into the car to get the wires inside the trunk. No problem with that, but what do i use to keep water from getting in? Wouldn't the movement of the wires destroy any kind of silicone sealant?

Easy enough to take care of. Find some aluminum flat stock that fit into the area above the license plate. Use some self tapping screws and screw the LI brackets to the to the flat stock. Now grind off the excess screw sticking through the plate. Paint the plate black and let dry. Now use double sticky tape to attach the plate with the LI mounting brackets to the area above the plate.

No drilling holes in the car.

Below the tail lights will be the best option but...

Would you stick them on the bottom of that fin and do a test run. I would like to see how well/poorly that would work.

I would stick one under the GT and Ford symbol. Then test it.

The taillight mounting is effective, but hideous. Of course, as an enthusiast, I understand a system that performs is more important than one that looks good. That guy has the advantage of having an all black mustang, so they don't stand out as bad as they would on mine..

But, my mustang seems to have a more jammer friendly rear with regards to placement for mounting near the license plate. How would performance be if mounted in the position i originally intended, as long as the heads weren't recessed? Would the outer tail lights be instant PT, as they wrap oh so slightly around the vehicle?

How exactly did that guy attach the brackets in the video? Remove tail light and 3M tape? self tapping screws? Also, How did he get the cables inside the trunk?

Cat4: That sounds like a solid solution. What about the wires though? How does everyone get them inside the vehicle?

I don't mind drilling, I just don't want water getting in my trunk.

Cat4's suggestion looks good. I would think worst case scenario on the wires would be a grommet of some sort.

Don't neglect all the mounting options that the bottom of the spoiler gives you!

I'm going to try the either side of LP location first.

Other options would look super ridiculous on my car. I'll resort to that if i must, but yuck.

Any ideas on how to get the wires inside?
How to seal anything i cut to make sure water doesn't get in?
