I've been lurking on the forums doing research, and am finally getting ready to purchase a Laser Interceptor, and would like to get some advice from the experts on the forum. I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland - is the LI Dual (slim heads and/or regular heads?) sufficient for protecting the front (I might add rear heads later but plan to just cover the front first)?
And I think I read on another thread that these can be mounted vertically - but would like to confirm if that is true as I've also read that is not suggested? I'm thinking of mounting the two heads in the outermost slots of the chrome grill to be close to the headlights, as I do not have a front plate - I plan to mount them horizontally in front of the black honeycomb, but if they are too wide to fit then I would have to mount them vertically (assuming that won't hurt jamming performance too much). How wide are the heads including the mounting tabs on the side of the heads?
Here is a picture of the front of the 2011 grand cherokee overland (mine looks exactly the same; I do not have a front plate), I was thinking the green location for mounting horizontally if I can fit them, otherwise the red location for vertical:
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!!
