LI on a Yukon Denali

I haven't found any pictures of installs on a Denali. Mine is just like the one in the picture. With the headlights and all of the chrome would the 8.8 sensors be able to protect it? It looks like I would have to mount them at the top of the grill on each side near the headlights. With all of the chrome, I'm afraid the sensors will stand out like a sore thumb.

The denali is sexy, but you may want to downgrade to a normal grill if you want stealth.

Depending on your area, that may be a wise choice.



It'd also make it less reflective. What do you think?

The LI will be powerful enough to protect it as long as you do the install right the first time. You can cut the grill and mount the LIs flush inside, you can replace the Denali grill with a normal Yukon grill, or you could just mount the sensors on top of the grill and have them stand out. Personally I would just cut the grill and mount them inside.

I don't encounter a lot of laser. But, I've seen a few of the motorcycle guys using it. I did get tagged a couple years ago which resulted in a ticket. I'm not sure I could force myself to take off the grill.

I don't think they would be too distracting just under the hood. It does recess there, so they wouldn't stick out.

If you like the chrome grille, I'd buy a cheap grille to use with the LI's for several reasons. You're not cutting the chrome grille, less reflective surfaces, and more stealth.

If you remove the LI's your original denali grille will still be intact. LI's sticking out of the chrome grille are way more noticeable.

I'm positive that I couldn't force myself to buy it with that grille in the first place, lol.

If you're not going to replace it with a standard grille, then you will need to cut the existing one. No other options, so it seems like a no-brainer to me.

Protecting your rear end will be the expensive challenge. And yes, you do need to.

LOL. I really didn't have a doubt about having to cut into the grill. I guess my biggest concern was whether the system would even be effective on this vehicle.

As far as the back, I may get tagged tomorrow. But, I've never been hit from the rear. In my area, unless one comes up from behind, you never even get radar from the rear. I'd be happy with a good setup in the front that didn't look like someone took a Victoria's Secret model and inserted an extra chin.
