First LI Save - finally confirmed my unit works!

So for the past 7 months when people asked me if my Laser Jammer works, I told them - I don't know since I haven't been lased yet.

Yesterday - I was leading a pack of 3 Lotus Elises on a fantastic drive from Vegas to the Bay Area via the following route. I was the lead rabbit as the other Lotus' didn't have any equipment.

Just after Mono Lake on US395 north, we were proceeding down the left lane approaching an area with an overpass (suspicion #1) and a truck in front of us tapped the brakes (suspicion #2) -- we were probably moving around 75mph (80 indicated) through this 65mph section. So having two indicators I had lifted and decelerating to about 68mph when - zap - both the LI and V1 alarms go off. I had the radio on and windows open so -- I didn't hear what laser type was jamming.

We moved past the trooper and he didn't move.

During the rest of the drive - the V1 alerted about 14 times all with great success. I am now a believer. Oh - before you chide me for this being illegal in CA - yep I know. I just forgot to turn it off.

Sounds like a fun drive. I always look a few years down the road at what weekend car I'm gonna buy. Lately the Elise seems like the perfect fit for me. I've been reading the lotustalk forums a good bit. Just gotta pay off the daily driver in 3 years then save 2 years and ill pay cash for one. I think by then I can get a decent 2011 for a good price.

Your install didn't show the jammers (cus of CA car?). I was wondering myself how that install would look like on these cars.

Thanks for the link, saved it for when I get one. I almost want to finance it so I can get it in 3 yrs instead of 5 or 6. My plan is to buy all the expensive toys I want before a few years where there will probably be marriage followed by kids.
