Default Need recommendation quad or HP quad

I have an 08 Tahoe looking to get a laser interceptor kit. I am in FL and make trips to GA, I noticed on multiple occasions GHP sitting on back side of over passes or on ramps running laser from behind. My main question is will the regular laser interceptor quad kit cover my large surface area of the Tahoe?

A regular LI quad properly installed should provide very good protection, especially if your truck is a darker color.

Agreed. A regular LI properly installed will serve you very well. Good luck!

I doubt the GHP are running laser from behind since that is not a legal method for speed measurement in GA, if I recall.

LIDAR works and is legal in both directions in all states and GHP is notorious for rear LIDAR enforcement.

Well, I just checked and you are absolutely right. I could have sworn at one time I read that they could not use the device from behind in addition to the restrictions on the steepness of a grade and the amount over speed limit. I stand corrected.

If it was me and I was rocking a big Tahoe I'd go with the HI Power Quad Kit.

This is true. I have been hit with LIDAR from the rear in GA, 4am in the morning, from an overpass.

HP is overkill. The standard kit will work well enough on that vehicle. 2 standard heads in the front, 2 in the rear, good to go.

GHP definitely does rear (and front) off of overpasses and on ramps, have seen it many times. Fortunately, I look for it and can see them in time on overpasses (usually). When they hang off an on ramp and shoot the rear, it is much harder to spot in time, so you need protection.
