I installed a Laser interceptor dual system in my truck this past summer. So far I'd had no problems until December hit when I drove up north. My LI started falsing non-stop to the point where I had to turn it off while I was on vacation. Per trial and error I have determined that the LI was falsing only when my headlights were on (HID's) and it was below freezing. If I turned my high beams on the LI would stop falsing, then as soon as I turned back to low beams (HID's) it started falsing some more. It keeps saying Riegl or Unknown gun. Once the temperature warmed back up ( I got back down south ) I haven't had any problems with falsing as long as it's been above 32.
I read around and I Saw Riegl is something about being near an airport...which is definitely not the case here.
Is this normal behavior? Has anyone else noticed this? I didn't see too many reports... I saw that HID's could set it off, but only when below freezing?
My first thought was that moisture had gotten in the sensors and was expanding when frozen causing issues...
