    Default first experience w/zr3...not happy

well i installed my zr3 the other day and managed to run into an officer yesterday who got an immediate punchthrough at probably 4-500 feet. i was coming down a hill and he was on a side road at the bottom....good thing i knew he was there and i wasnt speeding. however, my estimating is horrible when it comes to hundreds of feet. it could have been 2-300 as well. i dont really know. all i know is it was realtively close range and the gun looked to be a PL3 or ultralyte turned very sideways...which i dont think would have happend. i dont think it was a stalker because i dont think we have any around here, but i could be wrong. in the case that it was a stalker, i definately need a different jammer

i must say i'm really dissapointed in this as after seeing the test results and from some of the testimonials here on the board and then getting these results.

i know it is a VERY easy place to get a ticket without any countermeasures..especially a jammer. had i been speeding at all, i would have had ticket on my record right now. i know this becuase one of my close friends just got busted there recently there and i've seen many others get pulled over there too

as far as im concerned, i do not feel protected anymore driving with it like i did when i first installed it. im sure it'll be ok on a long straight stretch where i'm being shot at a level angle and relatively straight on, but for now i'm seriously thinking of swallowing the restocking fee and returning it as soon as i can get my hands on a better jammer and before the 30 days is up

now after seeing outruns videos and the gol test restults, i kinda wish that i had saved my money and put it toward an antilaser...

Default How do you know he got a punchthrough if you did

not get a ticket? Also, have you considered that the device might have given you enough time to slow down? Nothing is infallible.

the reason i say this and the reason i say he got an immediate punchthrough was i had counted about 5 seconds of alert time and now finding out that it alerts 6 seconds after laser is stopped jamming. i also found out that it was closer to 200-300 feet coming down hill...i know this is a very hard position for a jammer to jam in, but if it were an overpass, it would be basically the same

i'm viewing this as a "real world" test in which i would not have been protected. i havnt really been able to give it a chance at a longer flat stretch. im sure it will do well there

thats right...but thats the thing i'm worried about from this experience

im sure it'll be a lot better out on the open highway

i looked on google maps and it was actually about 150-200 feet coming down a hill that i was from the cop when i got shot i believe so not nearly as bad as i was worried about

re-doing my veil might help a bit too...its a bit chipped up

but isnt this where most current jammers get PT? around 150-200 ft?

yeah i believe so...and coming down hill is really hard for any jammer as the cop would have had a good 15 feet above if he were on an overpass
