Default Few questions about laser jamming

Like the topic says, I have a few questions regarding laser jamming. I did some search here as well as google, but couldn't find clear answers...or maybe i just didnt look close enough.
If someone could maybe just answer these questions or maybe direct me to a source where i can read up on my questions...I'd appreciate it.

    1. Is Laser jamming legal in California?
    2. Is a Licence plate cover/Lasershield legal in California? ( I would Veil it then ).
    3. Whats the difference between a Lasershield and a Licence Plate Cover?

Thx for the help in advance.

    1) Yes they are illegal

    2) Tinted covers are definitely illegal, clear ones should be ok. In other words, you should be OK with a laser shield as long as the cop doesn't closely inspect it.

    3) Laser shield is a cover which is designed to buy you some more time when lasered (especially at long distances). Make sure you have a good radar detector and preferably use veil along with it.

    Thx for your post.
so question 1 & 2 is covered. But 3 is not that clear yet.

Is a laser shield the same as a licence plate cover or is their some kind of differential in between those two "covers"?

A laser shield is slightly hazed and is designed to diffuse laser. It is also flat and not bubbled. A regular cover is usually not hazed, is usually bubbled and obvious, and is not designed to provide laser protection.

A lot of it is because a lawmaker hears a "Rocky Mountain Radar" commercial on the radio, or someone hears it and write his lawmaker...

or LEOs that see JTG alot and opt to have them banned by their friends in the law MAKING business (Although the LEO would have to know of the existence of jammers, but by now most should atleast have an idea)
