Called Perkin Elmer today .
PGEW1S09 - 15W @ 25A = 1000 MINimum x $ 14.70ca
Too much for a simple test... any clue where to buy low power and cheap 905 led in low quantity , around 12 ?
Thanks.

But 411... 1000 pcs... there is no way you will get punchthrough
You could try calling Future Electronics, which is right near Perkin Elmer, in Pointe-Claire... I forget their number, and they will probably want more than $15/ch but they should sell individual...
Are you looking for a LED or a laser diode? PGEW1S09 is a laser diode.
Here's some LEDs I found:
M3L1-905-30, IR, 905 nm, 350 mA, viewing angle 30°
ELD-905-535, 905 nm, 28 mW @ 100 mA, 5 mm plastic
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!
If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

You guys mean, by buying a led diode working at 905nm, you would be able to test a laser jammer?
Both the 904nm and the 905 nm would be the value you'd want.
Stalker has both values on there LIDAR specs, I suspect one is a typo.
Most common from memory seems to be 904. I wonder how close they really are to the filters internally.

The avalanche photodiodes generally have a wide bandwidth, even with built-in filters. Though peak sensitivity in the guns is @ 904/905, I have reason to believe that they are fairly sensitive over a 100nm bandpass or more.
Kpatz ,
True , this is a laser diode , I put the price just to show how expensive it is .Are you looking for a LED or a laser diode? PGEW1S09 is a laser diode.
I want to test with ''plain'' led .Thanks for the reference.
Smart , at 1000 , it would jam a square mile area
The only place I know of that sells 905nm LEDs at retail is:Originally Posted by 411

But depending on what you are doing, as long as you find something pretty close to 905 it should work. I believe that one popular jammer actually uses 870nm LEDs
