I have been wondering this for awhile. Laser range finders can get a reading of something non-reflective around 500 feet or under. That being said, do speed based lidar guns also have the same capability? The reason I ask this is because they use the same wavelength of light, yet everyone is worried about veiling headlights and other mirror like surfaces. Do reflective surface(s) matter at the sub 500 foot range??
