I wonder how putting the plate off to the side would affect "center mass" hits? Not to mention that the center "plate" position might be excellent for a jammer head. Any thoughts?? Maybe a way of "steering " the operator to a hard target area!

Problebly better off to angle the plate sky-ward. Although its an interesting idea and im sure it could help.
Maybe off to one side and tilted skyward would be the way to go
how many degrees off level would one have to point the plate skywards, to get any real benefit?
I recall Sethy's setup would angle the plate to reflect the lidar toward the ground. This would also reduce the surface area of the front plate. My idea is to move the "sweet spot" and get more jammer installation options.
