Default What Generation is that LIDAR gun?

Here's my open to tweaking "list"

    Here's my take on the Gen 1 & 2 & 3 & "4"

    Gen 1

LTI 20/20. Ancient. dates back to 1991
    Kustom Pro Laser I ?

    Gen 2:
LTI Marksman similar to 20/20 scope improvements & software
Kustom Pro II (same as Pro I) w/ software enhancements

Stalker LIDAR this is a Gen 2 era but with Gen 3 engineering.

    Gen 3:
LTI UltraLyte ( I have busted one 2001) *** web site says 1997
    Laser Atlanta R & S
    Kustom Pro III
    Stalker LZ-1

Most distance range finders came around 2003? & up. Osprey, Bushnell, Symmonds, etc.........

    Gen 4:

    Kustom Pro Lite

I guess the generation doesn't have anything to do with the advancement of the laser gun/beam? I ask this is because the Kustom Pro Lite has the same PPS as the Pro Laser III but the Pro Lite is easier to jam.

Interestingly, the intensity of the LIDAR beam seems to be related to the lens curvature and size.

Its probably a safe bet the smaller lense is more compact in beam divergence.

It is interesting that the Stalker and the LTI Marksman (with comparitively big and small TX apperatures) have the same beam size at 800 feet. >>>EDIT: Both manufacturers Specs claim 3' @ 1, 000 ft <<<

    While NOT scientific:

The brightest seems to be the Stalker
    then the LTI Marksman
followed by the Pro Laser II.

While I've shot the LAser Atlantas' and the UltraLytes too, I haven't compared them against the same conditions as the three above.
