Default No front plate and center mount

I would be mounting the AL on and accord in GA where we don't have front license plates. I'm sure this would mean that cops with laser go straight for the headlights. Would a center mounted head work well in this situation?

I'm sure at a distance this would not be an issue, but I'm worried that at closer range the AL might not even pick up the beam to start jamming? Is my thinking correct? Dual heads are really expensive, but having one that is iffy would suck.

Also I would be worried that the AL might start jamming at a distance, but then stop as it gets closer and looses the beam. Then again it would have alerted, but still something to think about.
