Perhaps consider a better jammer and keep the plate?

Paint all the white retroreflective with a flat white , still reflective but it cuts this reflectivity by at least 80% , tested with a reflective cardboard versus a plain white flat cardboard of the same size , using the parking feature of the AL8....

    Picasso you will become

Basically you accomplish what veil tries to do. We've done this with many cars. (Dutch licenseplates, replacing the retro-reflective yellow with a very similar 'normal' yellow)
Result: Even without jammer you had a fair chance of beating a lasergun using a detector only.

    Effective, but probably illegal.

Go get an English license plate, they aren't actually "offically made" so you can get ones that aren't retroreflective.

But me? I'd take off the plate. I have a growing collection of plates but I hang them on my wall.

Or you could get an accessory plate like Saab sells to fill the hole if you have one...

I was planning to buy some non-reflective white paint and take care of my plate when i have sometime in a few days. I do really those black plates that Saab sells, I would like to have on say Sport Quattro or just Quattro. Saab...PM me.
