Default Rear transponder placement ideas? (Audi A4/S4)

I'm*considering a LPP purchase by evaluating its feasibility (both in terms of installation, and whether or not its practical to run a jammer in a province where they are clearly prohibited).

The vehicle is a B5 Audi A4/S4 body style. A single front transponder mounted in the grill should suffice, in the style of the article referenced here (scroll to the bottom):

The rear transponder, however, proves to be a little more difficult. This is what the rear of a B5 looks like (not my actual car):

The lip underneath the trunk release, above the license plate, isn't very deep. If the vehicle were black (which it sadly isn't), I'd have considered cutting a hole in the bumper fascia and mounting it flush. However, that not being the case, I'm now at a loss.

I'd scrap the rear transponder altogether, but local police are crazy for the rear LIDAR, with a few unscrupulously sneaky traps lately that have scared the crap out of me.

    What do you suggest?

We have video footage of the LPP in action from rear shots. Videos will start to hit the threads today. Stay tuned.

    dmc -

Depends on which laser gun you get hit with in your area, 1 head in the rear will be capable of JFG (jam from gun) on some guns, but not others.

Our previous test shows that Stalker and LTI Marksman can be jammed more easily from the rear. Here are two clips on Youtube:

    LTI 20-20
    Stalker Lz1

As JTW mentioned, we'll show some video clips of a single-head LPP jamming from the rear against tougher guns.

And btw, I would suggest putting it here -

That's where I would probably put the rear head as well. I have a B6 style A4 and that's where I would put it there as well, though I might have to finagle with the license plate lighting.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried installing heads inside the taillights?
