I'd like to know if mounting a single head unit on my 350Z will be able to cover the front of the car adequately. I must have the front license plate by law (Maryland) so this complicates where to locate the head unit.
I could put it just below the license plate using the grill as a mounting surface but wonder if this pushes it too low to cover the headlights. It would also end up fairly low to the ground.
To get it above the license plate, I would have to use a custom mounting bracket to move the license plate down (on the grill) and put the head unit above it but I can't find a license plate bracket to do this. There's a custom bracket that uses the front threaded hole for the towing hook but it doesn't lower the license plate enough so there's space above for the head unit.
So, I'm hoping someone hear can tell me if mounting it under the license plate would be okay.
