Default Laser Jammers and HID headlights

Question: The HID headlight conversion kit I'm getting (whether or not such a kit as actually a good idea is beside the point for the time being) apparently provides 450 Hz power to the xenon lamps. I'm trying to remember if that frequency is anywhere near one of the Lidar gun pulse frequencies.

I'm envisioning some nightmare scenario where as soon as I pull up behind a truck with a chrome bumper, the jammer goes into overdrive. The jamer is a Blinder, but I doubt that would actually matter....

Unfortunatley, that's out of the realm of what little knowledge I have about this subject, but perhaps this can help?

Best of luck! And I truly hope that scenario doesn't happen to you!

^ That's the light wavelength emitted. He's looking for the pulse frequency (if I'm understanding that correctly....).

Which gives pulses per second, and the xenon is being pulsed faster,

    HOWEVER

I think it is still incandescent, so it would be like pulsing a toaster heating element - it is going to be bright orange without noticeable flashing.

What they need is white LED headlights with IR Pulsing LEDs integrated, always on (driving lights).

i don't think you will have a problem. I have bi xenon headlights and i have never had a laser false because of them.

Thanks! I was indeed looking for "pulses per second" and it looks like I'll be more or less cool.

    Good info! Thanks again!

yeah wavelength and frequency can be tied to eachother (in terms of light sound and all those things when wavelength increases, Frequency decreases, and vice versa), but are different things......... bringing up my limited physics exposure, 1Hz is 1 wavelength over 1 second...... so at 450Hz its pulsing at 450 PPS....... and thats double and in some cases maybe TRIPLE the usual operating Pulse Rate of most LIDAR guns

Technically cycle per second  Sometimes if they want to be a ***** they write "s^-1" instead of Hz.

the laser detector shouldn't even see your HIDs. Its like we cant see the light coming out of a laser gun.
