OK i am very excited becuase i am getting my jammer heads (LPP) installed tommorow morning. I was wondering how jammer heads do in the rain and car washes. Is it something i should worry about. I remember reading somewhee on here about someone getting water in one of there heads how can i prevent this? I'm guessig they should be OK but i just wanted to double check.
Don't break the seal, and you should be fine. Since they can get hit by debris, periodical checks for cracks/etc would be good. Since I'm in the nice rainy northwest, we need to clean the jammers heads frequently enough at which time a sanity check is almost a no-brainer.
BTW, congrats on your new parking assistant.
When I got my 904 I did some research and the only complaints I have found were some of water getting inside. So before I installed them I sealed the seams with some goop adhesive.
The other worry I had was how they would perform when dirty with all the dirt and salt my car gets layered with in the winter months. Last winter we did a test with a real laser gun and I purposely did not clean the jammer heads, and they still worked flawlessly.
When I wash the car I am sure to not wipe them too hard...scrubbing dirt can scratch the plastic lenses.
