When I received my LPP last week I noticed the lense wasnt airtight and was attached kinda loosely. I thought it would be strong enough to hold, but today at the car wash it fell off
The lenses are only attached with a very small amount of silicone by the looks of it, so this may be an issue for others down the road too.
Also when it fell off I noticed there were finger prints in silicone residue on the inside of the lense from the person who actually attached it there (not good) but they wiped off easily as the silicone was very thin but im still a bit dissapointed understandably.
I need some help to get it back on, its minus 5 in Toronto so I need to know what can I do to attach it back without it falling off again in this cold weather?
I need something that will set quickly in cold temperatures as I need to get it back on immediately so dirt / water doesnt get in there.
Any suggestions what exactly I should use?
I imagine silicone, but is there a special type? Is there a technique that I can use to put on a very small thin amount? I need something that sets quickly, wont leak water and is not runny so it doesnt run down the inside of the lense when I put it back up, also what shoudl I do while its setting, scotch tape it on?
Thanks for the input guys.
Anyhow this is what the LPP inside looks like.
