I know this will vary from LEO to LEO and what not, but what normally does a LEO do when he is shooting cars, and he can't get the reading off of one? Is there some sort of procedure that they teach them at lidar training that they follow?
I know that most LEOs are instructed to shoot at the center mass. Would they just keep on aiming there, assuming that eventually they would get a reading? Do they start panning? Do they automatically go for hotspots like headlights or foglights?
I'm talking your average LEO here. I know there are veteran LEOs that will get a reading no matter what, be it by automatically making headlights their aiming point, or by aiming else where.
It's just a question I have that I was wondering.
