Got a rear laser hit on Sunday morning. Got to PSL then switched the ZR3 off. Looked around for a shooter, since I was passing through Webster and I know their Moto unit uses a PL3 I figured it was him but didn't see anything. Switched the system back on then a few minutes later another hit. About this time I stopped looking for a PL3 and started looking for some sort of Infiniti product. Sure enough there was an Infiniti FX45 cruising up behind me.
Interesting note. The FX45 didn't set the unit off all the time. Not even when it was right behind me or sitting at a light. I had to put some distance between us then I would get a R LASER hit and system would start shifting. I wanted him to pull next to me at one of the lights so I could ask if he got any strange alerts from his Intelligent Cruise Control system. But he turned off before I could ask.
Since this ICC system uses lasers to adjust speed to maintain following distances I suppose the ZR3 might confuse it into not knowing what the proper following distance really is.
Any of you laser experts got a theory?
