So I know there are various ways on cutting down on Lidar reflectivity when it comes to plates. There is the the whole painting it, Veiling it, Laser Shield, Scouring it, and getting a vanity plate.
My questions is what would be the "best" option. Florida doesn't require a front plate, but it would be nice to start cutting down my rear lidar reflectivity by making my plate less reflective. Of course this would be my first step in the long journey of protecting my big, flat, white behind :P
Are there any tests that test any of these options?
As far as I can tell these are the advantages/disadvatages of each, please comment if any of these are wrong, or if you have any to add:
Painting it: Time consuming(?)
Veil: Looks dirty, expensive, possible ticket
Laser Shield: Cheap(20 dollars), possible ticket
scouring: possible rusting, don't know how much it cuts reflectivity
Replica plate: cheap, legal, may be more relfective than other options
