 Looks great! If the head is in the first pic, I honestly can't see it! 8)
I honestly can only imagine a super-close-range, car-cresting-over-the-hill shot as being the only scenario for which your current temporary setup may not cover well.
Otherwise, for the majority of shots, as well as in terms of stealth, that's a very, very nice install!
how could that be a problem ?Originally Posted by TSi+WRX

It looks, from your last picture, that the head is flush with the edge of the hood, just under your Saturn badge, correct?
From a side profile, how far "recessed" is this location, when compared to your bumper's leading edge?
My worry would be if an extremely close engagement scenario presented itself, combined with your vehicle rising over a crest - with the shot coming from "below." The bumper overhang could potentially block your jammer.
Whether or not this will prove to be the case in the real-world is something that, unfortunately, we just won't know - not without some true quantitative (or even qualitative) testing. However, I still felt that it should be "pointed out" for your consideration.
My own temporary single-front setup had the head sitting out, exposed, on the top of the front bumper, and I, too, was worried about this type of a scenario. (Un)Fortunately, I never got to test it out.....
Believe it or not I didnít get one damn laser hit coming home from Colorado(may have been a good thing). One bad thing was though when I reached Illinois it started to act up and so I had to shut it off. I called laser defender up today and they are replacing with a new one that has the new firmware update
The great news is that I love my x50 more than ever again. It save my ass from 4 tickets and 3 of them were Ka
Congrats on a safe trip, bruddah!Originally Posted by bearcat
Oh, and I totally believe you.
I actually took the trouble to VEIL my rental SUV (and requested a darker color, too) for our recent family road-trip to Atlanta, Georgia (from Cleveland, Ohio).
I encountered NO SPEED TRAPS.
Oh, and about that SUV - it was an '07 Explorer....and with the third row folded down, it was *barely* big enough to fit all of baby-Anna's "ancillary travel needs." ops:  And that includes having to leave her stroller at home!
How was it acting up?Originally Posted by bearcat
It started beeping as it were setting the parking sensor portion off .I went outside of the car to see if there was anything on the head of the jammer that maybe setting it off and unfortunately there wasnít. When the unit was turn off then restarted it stayed red and beeped for about 5 seconds then continued to do so unit till the unit was shut off.
