AL Constant Jam...

Yes, I know that the constant jam (as opposed to 8/4 second jam modes) setting on the AL 8.0 has been discussed before--

I keep trying to enable the constant jam option (21 blinks), but I get nothing. I've changed other settings (the parking mode from regular to short), so I know that the control box is working.

I've got the 17.01 firmware box (newest is the 17.21 with the option to 'turn off' the parking sensor'). I the ordered unit about September of last year.

I also remember there being a poor side effect of having constant jam... or I am just making that up??

The AL's settings wouldn't happen to be anything like the LPP's would they?

The only downside of having it in permanent mode would be if you keep on forgetting to switch it off, or you couldn't find a place to put the switch, it will shut off for you, though I think 8 seconds is way too long. Even 4 seconds can be long as well...

Not sure , but try the 23 blinks to get constant mode .

I prefer constant mode with an easy reached kill switch , cause some encounters are so close you need to close before the 4 seconds so to avoid unnessary jtg.

It's 21 for my box of LPP. I think it's 12 on the newest ones.

Thanks - really don't think I'm going to need more than 8 seconds, but just for the hell of it; I do have an easily reachable kill switch too, to the bottom left of the steering wheel
