    Default LPP version

I bought my LPP on Jan 2007. Is their a newer version or a patch after... Am asking because sometimes is not beeping when police target me. Also yesterday LPP was beeping informing me about police and I was caught for speeding ... It just beep only for 2 secs and I saw the police man showing me to stop... I think it should not let him target me for 8 secs...

Easiest way to check is change the jam mode from 8 seconds to permanent jam.

Non 100 pps version - 21 blinks to enable permanent mode.

    100 pps version (latest) - 12 blinks

or to test parking distance setting

    non 100pps - 4 blinks

    100 pps - 3 blinks

As far as i Know that's the only way to know, other than firing a 100pps UL at your heads!

Do they use the 100pps Ultralyte in cyprus?? im betting they do, either that or your head placement is wrong and obscured?

Post a pic of your head placement...

but im thinking it is the 100pps UL, I suggest you contact LPP and get an updated control box

Like the others here have speculated, I also think that you, based on what you reported in your post in the other thread:

    http://www.radardetector.net/viewtop...=295877#295877
(8th post down from the top, page 2)

    - encountered a 100 PPS UL.

    Something confuses me, however.

In the above-reference post, you cited that your STi warned you, but your LPP did not. This would be indicative of the typical 100 PPS UL encounter with a "non-100 PPS UL enabled" control-box.

However, in the original post on this thread, you cited that your LPP warned, but you still received a ticket. If this is true, then, in this case, it would seem that you will need to reconfigure your head mounting/placement (or obtain an additional head) for better protection, as this would be indicative of a PT situation (at what distance were you clocked?)

To answer your question above, yes, the "100 PPS UL-enabled" box started to ship after April. Although it is not an official update (as LPP UK/KMPH UK, from my understanding, shipped "non-100 PPS UL-enabled" c'boxes to areas of the world where they presumed did *not* see significant threat from this particular LIDAR device, and also to minimize potential jam-code issues with the Jenoptik LaserPatrol), it was made available to anyone who requested it some time around then.

    Correct.

    Dear BMW^Z4,

Is the best way for checking which is the version you bought on Jan 2007.

If you can’t change the jam mode from 8 seconds to permanent jam with 12 blinks,
you must send ONLY the junction box Black Label (BL) to Kmph for replacement with the new junction box Red Label (RL / 100pps).

It’s not necessary to replace the Laser heads.

The new junction box Red color (RL / 100pps) offer 20% more protection from
shootings from Ultralyte 100pps in compare with Ultralyte 125pps.

    Yours sincerely
    Arbos

To-clarify, Arbos, by that last statement, do you mean to say that this particular c'box revision, "RL," offers more protection for the 100 PPS than compared to 125 PPS?

If so, then is the "RL" c'box's 125 PPS protection decreased, as compared to the "BL" c'box?

Or do you mean that the "RL" c'box is about 20% more effective at protecting against the 100 PPS than the "BL" c'box?

    Thanks!

^ I think Arbos meant that 100pps is easier to jam than the 125pps with LPP. I remember seeing a video on Youtube showing LPP jamming both guns.

    Dear TSi+WRX,

If you shoot the new LPP (RL / 100pps) with Ultralyte 100pps you will have 20%
more protection in compare with your shooting with Ultralyte 125pps (in the same car).

    Yours sincerely
