    Default Need Rear protection

    Hi all,

I have the dual LE30 from Lidatek positioned in the front of my 1998 Nissan maxima. It has protected me well over the years.

Since I cannot purchase another unit from Lidatek (their site says only in 2008-maybe), what other options do I have to add only 1 jammer at the rear plate?

Maybe Blinder?...would that work? LE30 in the front and Blinder in the back?? :?

    Thanks

uUsualy back of the car is more flat and square, and there is that reflecting surface in tail light (i dont know word for it) that will make a jammer job HARDER to jamm from the back side then from front..

Also rear shots are more often under angle and at closer ranges, in sme countries they use also a fixed laser photo stations aiming at the back at extreme angle and realy short range..

IMHO you need better stuff in the back then in a front.

    ^ Agreed.

And from the rear profile of that particular generation of the Maxima, Julius, I would definitely consider more protection than just for the rear plate.

Thanks, I was afraid you'd say that.
Finding 2 spots on the rear of a 1998 maxima is gonna be difficult. Any suggestions (sorry I don't know how to post a pic in here).

If the punchtrough is roughly about 100 ~300 feet (depending on what jammer I get), isn't is useless to have a rear jammer if you pass the cop and he targets you right away?

    Thanks

    possibly.
if anything, the biggest thing is having enough time to slow down.

the last thing you want to do is hit the brakes on a rear shot, that'll be a dead give away.
there are several factors involved, including head(s) placement, and where they target.
JFG's (Jam from gun, as in no PT) are possible and obtainable, but the odds are up to around 300' as you said usually result in a reading without very good placement, which can be tricky on a lot of vehicles for the rear.

it would depend on where they hide, since if they were in plain site you would see them and be slowed down anyway.

even though they are a 5 second jammer, maybe using the 2 LE-30's on the rear and get something new for the front would be an option, since they are the smallest heads out there.

this link shows a picture of LTI-compact with MicroDigiCam set on tripod for rear shooting, AT NIGHT, with IR flash-ligh.

you can see how deadly it is with a distance of only 49 meters.
this is why our video focus on short range testing.

rear protection is much more difficult consider it is flat, larger area, and more reflective region. In this scenario, you need a jammer that is sensitive enough inorder to synchronize to jam.
