    Default Research and Laser Jammers

    Hi,

I had an interesting discussion with Elvis today. As many of you know, he is the person who was going to be handling a particular laser jammer here in the USA.

He mentioned that these units can not be sold in the US. He had thought he would be able to do so, but alas, can't. Instead he has decided to research these devices.

He said he had a number of the research units sent here and was looking for some help in testing the units. He suggested a fee to help the research organization do this which was quite reasonable (to my way of seeing things), in the less than $700 range.

I've personally had a big interest in this and felt this was reasonable.

I know that these are being sold outside the US, so production units are available - just not in the US. Of course, we can order them from overseas (and I was considering that), but thought this was an interesting alternative.

Anyone have any thoughts on it?

I'll be sure to test out the laser interceptor if he would like me to

    Hopefully there is a discount?

There is allot more to it then installing one of these devices to your car and standing infront of it with a laser gun.

I assume that the testing that is being referenced has to do with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) who control laser.

They would have to do the testing to certify that the device is eye safe in a lab.

I'm more interested in testing the effectiveness of the system. Though I'm sure it needs other, higher level testing.

Roy out of curiosity what companies have done this testing? Also do these companies get a certification number from the FDA?

Why would you buy him a jammer to make videos of, when it directly competes against you who sells Blinder?

I'm curious to know if Blinder or any other company has these so called FDA certified eye safe certificates?

Yes, we discussed this before in a prior thread:

Blinder, Escort/Bel and Lidatek all have FDA approval.
