Default Cheapest option for jamming Ultralyte + PL3?

Title says it all. My car is a very dark green 1996 honda civic with no chrome or anything in the front(it has a front liscense plate but it is covered with Laser Sheild). It is very dark, and the paint coat isn't to reflective any more. I ad to remove the veil on the lights because they got to dark at night. Is there any option around 300$ that could reliably protect me against PL3 and Ultralytes? The other day I got hit by a PL3, luckly I wasn't speeding. I can't afford a ticket or my insurance going up!

I quite frankly don't care about Laser Atlanta, or the Stalker. I just want to have enough time to slow down.
    Thanks.

You're in the same profile I am. Mostly PLs with a view Ultralytes. ZR3 will give you enough protection provided you are paying attention. Also, you can't get too bent if your pulled over by the ultralyte. That's how it goes.
    Project "BONES" Speed Lab:
Valentine One, Blinder M47 "All Front Configuration"
    Pro97 Police Scanner
    1 Saves / 3 Strikes as of 8/22/2009
Estimated saves in U.S. Dollars: $200

Mmmm... found it on "that auction site" for really cheap ($300 after shipping)
Did you have it professionally installed? it doesn't look like it would be to challenging to do myself.

Should I wait for the ZR4 to come out for the price to go down, or do you think it will only be going up due to escorts all around price increase?

The ZR3 did pretty good at the GOL test considering the car was such an easy target. With my little civic it should have absolutely no trouble :]

You said nothing wrong. noTe certainly needs JTG 100% the way I suspect he drives. I'm pretty tame and lame myself. If you don't have the dough or stomach to spend $600, understandable. I suspect you can get a single head LPP though for closer to the ZR3 pricing now or soon.

I researched LPP and a single head system came out to around $500, the same as Laser Interceptor (Which has better jamming performance supposedly)

Like brother erickisn'theoffthephoenixnowyet said, you're probably fine with the ZR3, given the hardware that you face.

You know you're taking a chance, so when you do get bit by one of the Ultralytes, don't complain.

Also, if you choose to go this route, I would think hard about re-dressing your headlights, as well as further addressing any other frontal hardpoints. Needless to say, I would definitely run the "all three heads up front" setup.

    ---

My honest opinion, though, is that you should approach this "investment" as just that. Get something that will give you more assurance, through more scenarios.

Even if you have to slow-down a bit more and even if you have to skip a few lunches/parties in order to do so, I'd work to shunt funds towards the purchase of a more capable - overall - jammer.

My car is a best case scenario for lidar. Very dark front, nothing shiny. The paint job is very dark and faded like I said, with laser shield on the front plate and yes I would run all 3 transceivers up front. Do you think I would stand a good chance vs. ultralytes at least being able to slow down?

I wish LPP and LI weren't so killer on the piggy bank :[ I really cannot afford to pay half a grand. I would get LI otherwise...
