From what I understand, LIDARs aren't perfect and can throw up false jam codes from time to time. This is used as a sort of "buffer" excuse in case one's jammer can't jam a LIDAR without a jam code displaying.
Which leads me to ask: If LIDARs can legitimately throw up false jam codes, has anyone ever been pulled over for jamming a LIDAR without a jammer? i.e. Has a LEO ever pulled anyone over and said, "You've got a jammer?" when no such jammer was ever used?
If so how would one prove to the LEO that they don't have a jammer?
