Correct, the ZR3 and the x50/9500i will operate "together."

The Link cable, when/if you choose to use it, replaces the SmartCord for the x50/9500i - i.e. the detector sources power from the Link cable, which is connected to its own port on the ZR3's control-box.

Of course, this is all for the ZR3 - I venture no guesses for the ZR4.

I am trying to get a visual the link set up, is there a cable running from the control box to the detector itself, so there is a port on the control box for the link cable then? Also, is there like a splitter on the detector itself to accept the link and the RJ 11 cable for power? or does the link cable power the detector? Thanks.[/quote]

The "link cable itself" does not come with it? I guess you have to buy it? Also, is like a regular RJ 11 cable? Any idea of how much it costs?

No, no - it "comes with" the ZR3.

I said if/when you choose to "use" it.

You don't necessarily have to "link" the two components. You have a choice of doing so, or not.

    Slow down there, bruddah!

Sorry, my brain is rushing with ideas now, for my jammer setup. Still deciding on what to buy.

^ Don't worry, bruddah. That's why I included the Smiley.

As anyone here can tell you, more than half the time, READING > ALLEN.

    ops:

Buying a jammer in today's market is indeed one tough, tough choice.

Take your time, do the research, find which one is the best-fit compromise for your needs.

It's the only way to do it, unless you're totally cash-loaded and can just spend money on EVERYTHING!

    I can't access RR.net from work.

I'll cross-post what I posted there, here, this evening.
