Default Anyone here got pulled over for using a LJ where it's illega

Did the Leo pulled u over cause he knew you were jamming his Lidar and accused u of having a LJ or did he have no clue that his Lidar was being jammed.

In other words , I'm wondering how many Leo are aware of LJ in states or provinces where they are not allowed

    Thanks
    Jack

By the time u slow down to PSL it might take a few seconds which can either make him suspicious or register a Jam Code .... pee-brain

I'm actually answer the question without any of grandpa's pseudo cusswords! The answer is that laser is not always instantaneous and jam codes happen all the time during normal operation and are pretty much ignored. There are times when it takes a few seconds, so it's not as obvious as you might think. This is where Dave's(Rottman's) answer comes in, so as not to make it so obvious. I live in Cali. I jam, slow down, shut off the jammer and have never gotten a second look. If you jam the LEO for 22 seconds, then yeah, you're busted.

There is also the idea that LEOs think, because they are told, that none of this stuff works. I'd say a good amount of them have never heard of a laser jammer. Someone posted in the last couple of days that a CHP(I think) told him that his Stalker radar was undetectable by most RDs.

Thanks DJRams, I didn't know that jam codes were somewhat common.

A friend of mine in HPD said the general consensus among most officers he knows is they don't work. What we see as jamming is really just operator error on the officers part. So it's unlikely in a large city to get much attention just because the lidar unit failed to lock a speed. If you can slow down discreetly and flip the jammer off fast enough then it doesn't look suspicious at all even if they have a jam code.
