    Default LPP parking sensor

Will the LPP parking sensor function sense solid objects such as curbs or only shiney/reflective objects ?

Possibly Yes, but possibly NO. I would never depend on the LPP for parking.

As long as you're better then the 'Charger Lady' in The Lounge... I think you're fine. Park as you have been for years... or like you did when you passed your road test.

My radar parking thing maxes out about 10-12 inches from a wall/car, whereas my LPP will take me in to about an inch. I've got quite a pointy nose on my car, so a centrally mounted LPP makes a great parking aid. If there is a fender on a car in front of me with reflective tape on it, my LPP will go ape about 10-15ft away.

With the various laser-jammer type "parking sensors," it all depends on reflectivity.

Unless you have a space "pre-mapped," I would NOT depend on the LPP, AL, LI (or any other such system, IMveryHO, but honestly, I have not tried the LaserStar or PASS) for true "parking assist" functions.
