Default Why no US made jammer?

America is the land of small businesses and taking on bigger corporations. Why doesn't anyone open a company to make a great laser jammer here in the USA. Something along the lines of what mike valentine did with the V1. I bet with the right person in charge and some smart people around a company like that could build a jammer that would be unbeatable. I would also love to send my money when I buy a product to a company in the USA not one located who knows where. Comments?

Cause there are only a few people that know how to effectively build laser jammers 2 of them are in Croatia and 1 is in demark.....Most jammers sold are a clone of one from croatian jammer company

    Politely disagree.

Jammers aren't rocket science. It is because of 1. Patents and 2. Risk of being shut down due to legal issues.

x2!!!!!!!!! You hit the nail on the head. You try to create a facility here to design and manufacture jammers, Blinder and Belscort will hit you with lawsuits up the @ss.

but what if its a different design, they use LED in their jammers, what if yours used a diode like the LI. That way its a totally different design.

The transmitting and receiving components are a smal part of the equation. Once you submit the design for approval, this is most likely where you will get shot down. A company can use one design in their product but also hold patents on d@mn near every design imaginable. All this to stop other companies from competing and taking market share. There is no work-around here in the US. All the doors are closed. You have to jump through the window that was left cracked open. Or dig a hole through the basement and hope you don't get caught.

Also, what the others have said is also correct.

Well think about this like radar detectors there are several manufacturers, so with jammers I think a US company can create one, but remember belscort already makes one as well as the unmentionable company.

Most of these overseas jammers are patent pending, but say a diode based jammer here you would need a great engineer I wouldn't worry about being sued, since blinder and escorts are led based anyway.

I think the market is not big enough to invest in a US start up, unless the development and production costs are reasonable then it might be worth it.

Almost every jammer violates the patents of another. If it is so easy please develop and release your own jammers...

Believe me on paper it might seem easy but most the jammers sold are all just clones of previous produced jammers

If producing your own jammer was so easy there wouldn't be a company around that would gladly clone the circuit board of another jammer then put it in a case for you to use. Also there would be more original jammers than the Blinder, Escort, and Laser Interceptor. No more cloneing of Anti-Laser's jammer

No company has the money to take their patent case to court and it is well documented and interpeted legally that they each voilates each other's patents.
