Default AWSOME NEW JAMMER and GPS ON THE MARKET

Ok, I have been chatting to a company who have a great new Jammer called the DEFENDER 2 and it is about to be released to the market, it is a diode based jammer with the laser detector part has the ability to be hooked up to the "Drive Safe" GPS road saftey system. They have conducted tests on the Kustom Pro Laser 3, LTI 20-20 and passed Atlanta Stealth mode Tests which i know is a hot topic these days. They are in the process of shooting video tests and i will let you know once this is done.

You will only need one transponder even on a SUV and it is a great concealed install. From what I have seen it is reliable and is out performing all current jammers. they told me that it is the worlds only pulse rate/twin laser jammer.

    Some info i have discussed is very interesting such as;

Its twin laser diode based we also emulate the pulse received i.e it sends back a jamming pulse to match the incoming one and the pulse rate is fully variable starting from 10 pulses per second.
Our system is also the only one in the world that can updated via software!(232 connection will be included).

THIS IS HUGE....FINALLY A JAMMER THAT CAN BE UPDATED AS NEW FIRMWARE IS RELEASED....YOU DONT NEED TO SEND BACK...IT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED!!!!!!

Word is they are also working on the worlds first WORKING K/Ka Band Jammer...but more will be released on this later

Drive Smart GPS is another exciting product they will be releasing, it will tell you the speed limits and camera types by verbal warnings and also shows so much more information than the Road Angel on our large LCD screen.

When it gets a laser signal a buzzer will alert(also -ve earth output for alerts) and also a stealth mode system,Once you have detected a laser pulse it will jam for 5 seconds then enter a stealth mode for 1 minute.
We also have an on and off switch.
The laser detection system built is the most advanced of anything in the market and detects laser easily from most angles,You only need 1 of Defender's to do the job compared to 2xLE 30's or 4 x blinders for a SUV so from a cost point of view ours is the most effective.

Our system can also be fully software updated via a 232 connection.

Man it looks promising. here are some photos below, more info to come as I get it. Do you guys think it is a good thing, certainly looks the goods and once it is tested and videos are shown it will KICK A$$ on everything out there.

    Cheers

Well I checked my calender, and it definately isn't April fools. So who makes the new unit? Does it have replaceable lenses? Can the head be disconnected without removing all the wiring and everything? What is their explanation of how they can cover the entire vehicle with just a single head? I am just thinking about the width of the laser at 500 and 1000' so it is quite possible for the beam to hit just a portion of the front of a car. So that makes me curious how this new product addresses this.

Have you had any experience with this company? Can the timer and reset be programmed by the consumer? 1 minute reset time? Ouch.

Those are the questions that come to mind immediately. This is good news. Any idea when this product ships and what the cost is going to be?

Looks good... probably WONT need any software updates, since it auto-adapts the pulse rate to whatever is received! So no need to program in ANY laser guns... it'll just adapt itself automagically.

    Any word on pricing?

For the K/KA jammer... will it work on photo radar?

Longsnowsm; 1 minute is heaps man, if you cant slow down within 1 min there is somthing wrong, you have prob passed him by the time 1 min passes anyway.

    EDIT; Thanks Jimbo

I wonder why there are two mounting brackets if you only need one head?

Maybe Roy (or someone else from the site) can get a sample for testing.

I was just thinking I like the 30 second reset timer of the Lidatek better. 5 seconds is fine on the firing, but I would like the jammer to reset in a fairly quick manner... Based on 60mph(theoretical speed I slowed to) that is 88fps, that is 2640feet I would be past the LEO in 30 seconds. Which should be comfortably outside a cheap shot... Ummmm, I mean rear laser shot. So 30 seconds seems reasonable. I minute just seems like overkill.
