# Thread: Hypothetical scenario: jammer save someone else?

1. ## Hypothetical scenario: jammer save someone else?

Would it be possible for a jammer equipped car to save another car getting tagged?

If the circumstance were right, let's say two cars parallel to one another, one jammer equipped, one not. LEO lidars non-jammer car at some distance like 1500 or 2000 feet so the beam would be very wide. Would there be enough of a spill over to trip the sensors on the jammer equipped car?

I'm guessing this isn't too realistic, just pondering if it could work.

Definately, here's some reading for you.

Well when we ride in our groups, All my friends ride in front in the left hand side of our lane. I ride in the back in the middle of the lane. I've noticed that as long as we ride close together I can hear my jammer going off when they are trying to tag my friends up front.

The beam spreads over distance so on a bike its nice because they dont block the entire beam. It'll cone out till it hits me in the back. The LI will fire back. As to whether it's jamming him or not I don't know but once we were all going 80 and I radioed them saying slow down and we all pull back...never had a problem yet.

I'm starting to get to the point where I am telling my friends they are on there own because at high speeds, it's not really save to ride our bikes like a train....if someone in the front does anything "sudden" then the trainwreck syndrome can take effect.

If the LI can see the beam, it can jam the beak regardless of who the officer is targetting.

There was one guy who camped out with his car jamming an leo for a while. I read about it a week or so ago. So yes I presume that combined with my experience does allow you to protect other vehicles.

But I wouldn't rely on it.
