    Default jammer head test.. puzzled

I have two jammer system on the front of my car. LI and M25 J16.

I was testing the jammer head with the laser jammer test today and ran into something little puzzling.

On the picture LI is well aboved the m25 and m25 is about 5 inches in front of the LI heads on both sides because it's sitting right below my bumper.

Laser jammer tester is aimed about 2 feet directly in front of the both jammer heads.

When I shoot the jammer head with the jammer tester, Blinder picks it first than about half seconds later, LI picks it up. Never simultaneously. Does this mean if and when I run both system together and get hit by a LIDAR gun, M25 will start the jamming sequence first than LI next?

    Any thoughts on this?

The laser tester is inaccurate for this type of test. What's happening is that the LI has a delay in voice alert unlike the blinder. They should both fire at the same time, a good way to seeing it, it's using an IR camera. Cameras with IR like Sony nightshot...
Don't rely on the tester for determining range because the LED on the tester doesn't have optics like lidar guns, which allow them to focus the laser beam.

Speed, your point was well taken and just went to the garage and did another test to see if there's any type of delay in LI alerts without th Blinder being turned-on. But, When the Blinders were turned off, when the laser testers were shot at the LI heads, alert was instaneous no delays at all. With the Blinders turned-on, half second delay. I tried it like 4 times and all same results.

i would go out there with a camera like speed-dreams said, and see if the jamming diode begins firing immediately, or if it is also delayed like the audible alert. A cell phone camera usually works fine for this.

I'm just taking a guess here but it's possible that the blinder firing is causing the LI to initially have trouble identifying the gun.

Speed and Chris, you were both correct. Took a camera and witnessed that even though Blinder alert came out first, the diodes on LI lit-up at the same time the Blinder alert came out than followed by the siren and voice alert. It was a pretty site to look at.

Only thing that is still puzzling me is that without the Blinder turned on, LI's siren alert and the Diode comes on at the same time.

With the Blinder on, LI's diode is on simultaneously with the Blinder alert but siren alert is delayed followed by the voice alert. What could be causing this latency???

if the blinder's firing is indeed affecting the LI's ability to determine which gun it is jamming against like i had guessed, it is possible that it begins jamming immediately with the generic pattern, and then a half second later, when it is able to determine the specific gun, alerts as such and switches to the custom sequence.

when the blinder is off, it has no such trouble determining the firing gun, and therefore alerts immediately and begins jamming with the gun-specific sequence right away.

    again, just a guess though.

Your description sounds pretty reasonable to the pattern the jammers are experiencing.

Here's something I just found out few minutes ago.... When the laser jammer tester is shot more directly at the LI head level, LI will alert will go off first than second or two later, Blinder alert goes off.

So alert latency exist in both but diodes are firing simulataneously.

I'd say get your setup tested with lidar so you see if it's works.

According to Cliff the LI will determine the gun and start jamming about a second before it gives the voice alert.

Amen... I'm in process of bribing one of the forum member that owns a LIDAR gun in my area right now. I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit so it would be much accomidating for the both of us.
