    Default Evo X Install Anyone?

Anyone install an L.I. on the Mitsubishi Evo X?
I would think running the cables through the firewall would be the hardest part.
    What about wireless links?
I like the wireless interface between my V-1 and Cheetah Mirror with it's wireless remote audio/visual/voice display.

I was thinking that if the front and rear sensors plus the control box were hard wired to a switched 12 volt power source the front and rear sensors could be connected wirelessly to the control center and avoid having to drill holes and run cables through the car's body.

BTW, this would be my first experience with a jammer so I need any and all practical ideas.

I would think you could "piggy back" your wiring through an existing section. It's a japanese car so you should be able to take stuff apart pretty easy.

Seriously man this has no place being here and it is not on the topic

To the original poster the LI does not have a wireless kit and can't work with Cheetah product... unfortunately

the hardest part is feeding it through the firewall hole. I take my LI to a professional installer as with the front and rear set-up its much more advance that I can do

Should be pretty simple, I'd be more than happy to lend you a hand in doing it, I've put an LI in a couple cars now and am very familiar with it. I can also shoot it with my Laser Atlanta when its all installed. Send me a PM if you're interested, I'm over on the East side of town.

There's already plenty of installation information available for the X on evom.net -

    http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-x-h...lean-hell.html

That was from a simple Google search, with the terms "evo x firewall grommet."

doesn't belong here, but I have to add...the X has active yaw control, and with very minimal upgrades can easily over take an IX.

plus the X is defiantly nicer on the inside (and out IMO), no matter how much you pretend you dont care, you don't want your 30-40k car looking the same on the inside as that 15k car (unless of course your track only)

    anyway..
following whats on evom should be good, and as far as placement the X should be easy

if your thinking to go LI there is no wireless kit for the LI

Thanks to all who replied. The link to the "thru the firewall" pics was especially useful. I hope the meet up with "Elvato" and "Cbr" at CFL #11.
