Why not get a Phantom???

I just received my VEIL yesterday, so I decided to take it to work and put it on during one of my breaks. One of my uneducated colleagues (in the ways of speed countermeasures that is) comes up and asks me what I was doing. I told him that I was applying VEIL to my car. After explaining to him what it does and why I was doing it he asked me, "Why don't you get a Phantom? Aren't they supposed to make you invisible to the police?" (He must have heard that commercial that's been playing in my area on the radio). After I explained to him that I would be better off having a box of Kleenex on my dash than having a piece of RMR @%$@ there he still seemed a little dumbfounded. "You must know from experience, don't you?", he asked me. I told him that although I have not had the pleasure of owning one of those items, it has been proven that they do NOT work in real world situations. Again, he still seemed shocked. Hopefully he heeds my advice and doesn't waste his money...

Don't think it would've mattered. People at work I think make fun of me for how serious I take this hobby...

Speaking of Cobras...at least 2 or 3 people at my place own them. One drives a Lincoln MKZ!

I don't get why anyone would make any purchase decision (doesn't matter what it is) based solely on the ad material of the manufacturer...

That's a great way to end up with a bunch of useless crap from the Oxy Clean or Sham Wow guys.

Yeah, I always do my homework before purchasing anything. Nothing like getting screwed and throwing hard earned money out the window just to watch someone else laugh all the way to the bank to really piss you off.
