Many thanks to those who helped me out with a related question on a similar thread a couple of weeks ago.
As some of you know, I lost my 2000 Integra to a total loss due to a recent Austin hailstorm.
I picked up a 2007 Audi A4 but ripped my Blinder M20's (who served me great on the Acura). However, if you google a picture of the front of the 2007 A4, it's evil. The damn grill shelves are slanted AND there are a set of front vertical slats...and another set of vertical slats behind the front plastic grill that are metal (so it appears). EVIL!
So even if I cut the front (ugh) verticals, I still have to wrestle with the slant and and can't fit a full sized Blinder or LI head in the space due to the back vertical.
Moving on, there aren't a lot of great spots left that will give me ample coverage given the amount of chrome on the front of the car.
I'm not sure what to do...I just don't have $700 to throw down on a LI dual (but oh boy, I sure want them ! ) but I'm sitting here with two legacy LED heads from Blinder that I'm sure won't give me adequate protection, even with the Veil.
So, what would you do? Should I buy a couple of Blinder M25 heads coupled with my M20's, load up the front and place them in the available spots I have, yet, aren't really strategically strong spots?
I searched around for some good Audi pics of installs but the ones I found were from older models without the slat issues I'm experiencing. I'm on pins and needles to get something installed and realize you get what you pay for --- especially since my car is a higher target than normal be it the model or the exposure...but the money, ugh.
Thanks all - in RD.net I trust. You've never led me astray in the past four years
