Default Car inspection for insurance purposes?

I have to bring my car to the insurance company for an inspection next week because I'm getting a new policy. Does it matter if they notice the heads? Jamming is legal in my state, I just wasn't sure if they could hassle me about this.

I guess if they ask it's a parking sensor.

They are looking at the condition of the car and take pictures so they have record of its condition. Probably wont notice the heads. I would not worry about your parking sensors

If noticed, just tell them they are new-fangled deer whistles

I tell people the ones on my truck are deer whistles all the time. They ask how they work. I tell them I have never hit a deer since i installed them.

This is why I deal with a national Mutual insurance company that has no local offices

I've never heard of car inspections for insurance purposes. Which insurer are you with?

A few years back, when my parents went with GEICO, they had to get their cars inspected within like two weeks of opening the policy. They just told them to take it to any Pep Boys, and the guys there would inspect it and fax the report to GEICO.

Is it just with older cars? I've primarily been with one company (get a nice discount because of combined homeowner's and umbrella policy).

Probably so. I think their cars were four or five years old at the time. They got a new truck last year and weren't required to get it inspected. Although, it could be because they were already established customers by last year too.
