    Default no license plate?

It's legal in NV under these condtions, my car has has no front plate.

"If your vehicle was not built with a bracket for a front tag, you are not required to display a front tag. You will still be issued two tags, and you must keep that tag to use or to eventually return to the DMV with the other tag."

    My car is also black

will this help slightly in reducing laser detection, or at least buy me a few extra seconds once the detector sense a Laser.

    thanks.

I'm thinking of geting Laser interceptors installed though, down the road.

It doesn't matter what you do, a radar detector will not help you against laser. Things like not running a front tag and veil only help when you have a jammer. It just makes it so the jammer has to 'work less' in essence to jam the gun. The only way to have defense against laser is a jammer. Period.

don't bother, lidar can get your speed instantly from your headlights. Black car with expose headlights is easy pickings with lidar.

    ahh ok.

I didn't think it would m ake any difference unless I had a jammer, was just curious.

will be getting a jammer in the coming months, and probably some veil.

Not having a front plate is a big plus for you. It can be the most reflective part of your car so not having one did reduce the reflectivity of your car. However, your RD still won't give you enough protection against laser

A lot of times, early warning will save you from a ticket. Immediate braking after a laser alert has saved me on more than one occasion.

You probably just weren't going fast enough for him to bother pulling you over, or you were just picking up the scatter off of another car.

Yeah, I seriously think that "a lot of times" is a major, major overstatement.

If it takes more than a second for a laser gun such as the UL under about 800 ft to get your speed it probably needs servicing the gun gets your speed right before you realize your detector is going off even if you shoot someone walking its quick and the don't have much reflectivity, the only time you might get saved is if you get some scatter especially if the cop is shooting at over 1000 ft.

I think both of you really don't know what your talking about. I can't blame the Lancer kid because the tone of his posts suggests he's a very impressionable newbie. But Stealthy, you of all people should know better than to make a comment like that.
