While I was lying awake last night I was thinking about how jammer heads could be better integrated into cars. Since LED jammers use multiple LEDs per head, maybe a head setup could be devised where the LEDs can be separated and placed in various spots on the front/rear of the car. For example, inside the headlight. Some newer cars have LED DRLs, and sticking some jammer LEDs in amongst the DRL LEDs could make for a totally stealth setup. LEDs could be located near the front plate and around the headlights, and a few in the grill for complete coverage.
The laser sensing diodes could also be separated and placed in key locations, not necessarily near the jamming LEDs as well.
The electronics wouldn't need to change much, instead of soldering the LEDs to a board, they could have short leads going to each one so the LEDs can be placed in the desired locations, and the electronics part of the head can be tucked safely away inside the bumper or wherever.
Thoughts? Crazy? Feasible? Not worth the expense? Cool DIY mod?
